Leadership Roles
I taught third grade for seven years, and then looped to the fourth grade, where I taught fourth grade for two years. This has provided me with a strong foundation of a multitude of social-emotional understandings, instructional entry points, and various engagement techniques. I am a lead teacher in my school, and a part of the curriculum and instruction committee. For the past two years, I have worked with my colleagues to model for them and help them to integrate engaging lessons for their testing grade classrooms.

Social- Emotional Grade Level Leader
With my psychology degree, I have always had a passion for social emotional understanding. It plays a vital role in my instructional planning and classroom management. As a lead teacher, I have had much experience researching and developing social-emotional curriculums that are implemented into diverse classrooms for many age groups. I focus on building and maintaining relationships and developing appropriate behavioral plans for de-escalating difficult situations.

Curriculum and Instruction Committee
I collaborate with my peers as a mentor teacher in a professional learning environment to aid in their curriculum and instruction design, as well as help them with classroom management ideas, and implementation of lessons. I have also worked alongside my principal to co-facilitate parent meetings and workshops regarding state test preparation and facilitate student readiness. I feel that collaboration ensures that all students reach their full social and academic potential.
Parent and Community WOrkshops

I have organized and lead parent workshops that were designed to provide parents with information regarding the state tests, as well as provide materials parents can utilize at home with their child to further enrich their learning at home.
